Start from the strongest available reference.
An OE number may identify the application, but manufacturing normally needs more: a drawing, physical sample, dimensions, material, performance target or approved comparison sample.

YOUR PRODUCTION BRIEF
Define the part before the production plan.
Application & specification
Identify the vehicle, installation position, reference number and critical dimensions. For a new development, include a drawing or comparison sample.
Volume & schedule
Share the first-order quantity, repeat-order forecast and required delivery date. Sampling, tooling and batch production are quoted separately where applicable.
Sample & inspection
Agree the approval sample, inspection criteria and required records before releasing the production order.
Packaging & identification
Confirm the brand artwork, individual pack, carton quantities and item labels so receiving teams can identify each product.
